I enjoy a mystery romance that has more to the mystery besides, "Will they or won't they hook up?" type setting. To me if a book is labeled `mystery romance' then the mystery should be something other than will the leading characters become a couple because we all know that in the end 99% of the time the leading couples do hook up and live happily ever after so how is that considered a mystery?
Or the mystery's storyline of the book seems very familiar with just one or two parts changed. Or - yes another or - the mystery of the plot seems to be shoved in the back of the story while the romance is the main focus. There should be some kind of equilibrium as to where both the romance and mystery are equal partners in the book.
In More Than Memories, the mystery isn't will they hook up but did they? Now that's refreshing and unique. Because of that, I fell in love with the story.
Molly and Trent, the main characters, were realistic, charming and very believable. They had values and beliefs with none of the inflated happily ever after in stories you often read.
Out of the two characters, I fell in love with Trent. He was without a doubt the main star of the book in my opinion although the story was Molly's. It was because of how Trent aided and cared for Molly that made him very unforgettable.
Yes, there was a romance between the two characters as Molly tried to uncover the truth to her past but the romance didn't take away from Molly's predicament and or the mystery of the book.
I highly recommend reading this romance.
On a side note, there were just a couple grammar errors, which didn't in my opinion take away from the plot/characters, but I felt I should at least mention them. I still loved the story and will probably re-read the book again and again.

I had a hard time putting this book down. Sweet love story without the unrealistic love scenes that I dislike in most romance books. The author took the time for Molly and Trent to get to know each other (again). Trent was in a difficult position and you'll really feel for him. I enjoyed the suspense of the story behind Molly's memory loss. I didn't guess beforehand, which is always a plus.
