Customer Reviews

I liked this mostly because I liked the main character. The juror of the title is a reluctant smart-a - reluctant to serve jury duty, reluctant to admit something's not right at home, reluctant to admit that both worlds feel like a paranoid Grisham plot. He's also burdened with a healthy curiosity and a sharp conscience. (Which is trouble in a jury box. The "truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth" are often the last things a lawyer wants a juror to learn.) When he breaks loose from the courtroom, Juror One bounces through a series of strange and often spot-on funny misadventures in his attempt to discover the truth of the case in backyard Laguna. It's not what he was expecting, and it wasn't what I was expecting. Fast-paced fun for the most part, with some unexpected turns into unexpected territory.

the main character/narrator is a very funny guy.his witticisms kept me reading for many happy hours.mr. braatz really underlines the importance of jurors.this book would make an excellent t.v. series.
